Missing mUmmY
i was away for almost a week in Hong Kong. during my absence, my hubby took Matt into his responsibility while Brad was put under the babysitter care. although they shared the same blood and flesh as me and they are good buddy with each other, they have expressed how they missed their mummy in a totally different manner.
the cOOl kid

since Matt get to go home with daddy, he acted pretty cool although my hubby said he misses me in a very subtle and quiet manner. when they get home everyday, Matt will asked "where is mummy?" and when daddy said "mummy is working", he will simply replied "ok" and asked no further. despite getting the same answer, he has not deter from asking the same Q everyday upon reaching home.
Matt is still sleeping in btw us on our bed. (we don't have the heart for him to think that we have love him less with the arrival of his little bro and hence, decided we will move 'THEM' out together when time comes.) since daddy and Matt have the whole bed to themselves, daddy asked lil Matt to move over to mummy side so that daddy have more room but lil Matt insisted, "noooo, that's mummy space..mummy sleeps here"-end of conversation, not open for negotiation.
when i came home, i asked for a little hug and kiss and he did just that...when i asked "did you miss mummy?" he replied with a simple "yes, i miss mummy."
he didn't say much...he didn't react much...but we know he misses me in his own way.
here cOmes trOuble...

Brad is a mummy boy. i left him with the babysitter for a few days and for him, that's BIG deal!!!! . my babysitter said he emote without restraints..he threw tantrum..refusal to co-operate..screaming and crying without apparent reasons.
when i picked him up from the babysitter, he was his usual self and acted as if nothing has happened...not until we got home. he was really upset...he cried over little little things...he rebelled and wittingly go against everything we asked of him...he was not taking no for an answer and he even demanded to be carried the whole night.
he was upset and he made his statement loud and clear ... he retorted emotionally and physically...there is no doubt that he misses me and he ensures that we get the message.
(thank goodness he is back to himself the next day)
my kIdS...

as for mummy, misses both of them dearly...every minute..every second...

Lisa, you're back! Missed you, but I won't throw any tantrums!! Just let me feast on your photos. Any of HK?
I love your pictures! Such precious little things, your two little fellas! How old are they?
I try not to get my kids to pose, and go for candid shots, but..
1. they move, and everything comes out blurry
2. they see my camera and come running towards me, one of them anyway.
Guess, I should thankful for digicams, as we can take as many as humanly possible!
awww, they are just so sweet, the two of them..
i think every child is unique and expresses things in their own way, probably matt sorta has an inkling as to why u were away whereas brad just thought that mummy had gone MIA...
i can't imagine how max is gonna react when mummy is gone for a year for her masters (the probability of me going alone seems almost 100% now)
im just hoping and praying that he's remember me after a year :(
*Silly me* I didn't even realized that you were away! I just thought you've been really busy at work!! Now everything becomes clearer! Welcome home!! Liza? :-) Nice name too!! Better than trying to imagine you as TWO LITTLE FELLAS, though those two are the cutest too! Really good pictures as well, wor! :-)
Aw... that's sooo sooo sweet..
I guess Matt is the cooler of the 2, and Brad is more emotional?
Well, not just the little boys missed you.. we missed you too you know..
the last picture of the both are sooo sweet!!
hey..I checked out the eos350d - it's selling for RM3699 now which comes with the std lense and a 1GB memory card. That's it. cheap yes? and which lense did you recommend to buy for the close up shots? and how much did you pay for the addl lense?
so long no see those close up shots liao... welcome back!
Welcome back! Lisa..(can i call you that as well? :)
This is so sweet...both boys missed mummy in their own ways, i guess both ways touches your heart right?
And yup, we miss you too! :)
At last see your new post, was wondering why so queit recently?? :P
Brad scare u go away again, that's why keep hinting u in his own way! Smart boy!
In fact I miss those photos shot.
Welcome back. You know what, I missed your beautiful pictures of your boys..
Nice picture of them both!
wah wah..finally back. I thought where u went galavanting :P...
well, looks like Matt pretty mature as the big bro, whereas Brad I guess he's more emotional..want you to know it from all the tantrums he's throwing :P
so what did u buy from HK lah..shopping heaven leh
Finally, u are back. U've neen missing for so long and was wondering where u have been. Anyway, welcome, welcome back!
Feel so nice to be back home, rite?
Brothers and they have different characters. Matt appears to be the cooler and more understanding one. Maybe Brad is still too young to understand. I bet he was wondering why mommy wasn't with him during ur absence.
And NOT forgetting your lovely hubby as well....:P
Oh...poor lil Brad, he really demand his right for mommy's attention.
I love the pic of both brothers hugging. Arrrr.... so loving!
HI
Can I check with you, I love the pics that you've taken, May I know what camera and zoom lens are you using ?
Rgds/AhChen
Yea kids are always on our heard. We also dun have the heard to move them out so they still co-sleep with us.
dear all,
frankly, i miss blogsphere...i miss you all so much!!! it's a pleasure to be backed.
dear kat,
haha..it's okay to throw tantrum- that also show you care *in your own way*
i was in HK for business trip and my day are pretty much confined to attending conferences after conferences. by the time we got back from dinner, it's late at night and i have to log in to work and check on e-mails from the hotel...so, i didn't really get to see or feel HK...or do any shopping at all. becoz of the kids, i didn't extend my stay but rushed home as soon as possible instead.
Matt is 3 years 2 months old and Brad is 22 months now. Thanks again for the compliments.
i know, active kids and blurry photos can be frustrating- i guess that's why i decided to invest on a dSLR. i'm not sure what camera you are using but you can check whether they have the "sport" function to capture moving object.
Digicam is great tool!!
dear pearlvanoyster,
you have just put it in a way that i didn't thought of...ehmm..quite true i guess.
a year is nor short or long and Max is at a time of growth spurt....i'm afraid that you may miss out a lot but then again, you are pursuing your dream.
well, you have many years with Max ahead of you and you can always play catch up when you are home :)
dear lb,
apart from being away...i'm really tied down with work too but what can i say- i miss you all!!
dear zara's mama,
miss you and lil zara very much too :)
dear mom2ashley,
i suspect the memory card is not high speed. i forego the package previously and bought a 1GB high speed memory card that cost around RM500. As for the lense, i'm using a fixed 50mm f1.8m lense for potraiture- if i'm not mistaken it's not more than RM400 only. i'm actually thinking of getting another lense ef35mm/f2 (approx RM1.2k) for a wider angle to capture both of my boys in the frame.
btw, if you are seriously investing into photography, you may want to just go for the body without the std/kit lense- where performance is not at all upto par.
dear egghead,
thanks. good to be backed.
dear blurblur,
yep, be it sweet or misbehave- they are just expressing themselves and love them no matter what.
miss you too.
dear jesslyn,
thanks. Brad is one expressive boy and he is not afraid to let it out.
dear geetha,
thanks. now i know it's not easy to catch up on backdated postings..will still try to do so!!
dear jazzmint,
how R U? how is the little one in the tummy?
it's actually a biz trip and as a matter of fact, i only managed to grap a few things for the kiddies in the airport Disneyshop- that's about it *sigh*! i'm sure i will have a chance to go again - for holiday!
dear ally,
yeah, many thanks to my hubby too. he is loving father.
hey, time for another one??
dear ahchen,
thanks for the compliments. sure, i'm using dSLR canon 350d and a fixed lense 50mm f1.8.
dear 1+2mom,
all your 3 kids still sleep with you...ahhh...i don't feel so bad now.
might move them out soon tho'.
i know very wishful thinking but we will try sometime this year :)
dear tracy,
i was browsing thru' the comments and realize i have missed you out..i'm so sorry. not only in this post but in my prev post as well...how can this happen?????
so sorry...really -not by intention. ever since the start, i have like you and hopefully this little carelessly have not make you think otherwise...
