Blues...
Matt woke up this morning feeling very blues...he is not crying or whining... but teary eyes and not telling us why.
mummy said "it's Friday and tomorrow we go swimming-okay?"
Matt replied "no, we go gymboree"
mummy ..... *speechless* (mummy not keen coz gymboree over the weekend is just too crowded)

i decided to lay low today...fully concentrate on work...so that i can leave office on the dot...and pick the kids up early for dinner tonight...

hopefully he's in a better mood this evening...

so young already got so moody liao ah? know how to "lao gai" some more :)
waaa, terrific portraits of the TWO LITTLE FELLAS!!! Heh heh... very nice..
They look so manja in this pose...I thot only girls will be like that?
I wonder how your boys can sit still for all those beautiful poses you take of them..
Wah, starting to have preferences already.. Hmm, parenting getting taugh, girl..
Brad's mood affected Matt as well?
Maybe he just wanted you to bring him to gymboree. :P
Sometimes you just wonder at such a tender age how come they have good mood and bad bood huh? I thought this comes with problems and stress.. but kiddos nowadays show such mood swings too.
dear egghead,
don't be surprise...kids are so full of raw emotions and they they won't hesitate to show it openly- innocent-mah...
dear albie,
thanks..
dear jesslyn,
yeah-loh...they can be so manja..so naughty...so goodie...so extreme in many things...
dear beaglesg,
thanks for dropping by. good and relief to hear the same from another mom...
dear geetha,
after photographing the kids for sometime now, i observe how they behave and react to camera and use it to my advantage.
for instance, in these 2 shots:
when i see Matt in a great pose for photographing, i will take a shot, show it to him and say "wow, so handsome-oh"...if i'm lucky he will pose again for me...
sometime i lie down on the floor to take certain angle of my kids and whenever i do that, Brad will copycat me and lie down on the floor too...Brad's shot was taken when i purposely lie down on the floor with my camera and he follows, i just take a few shots as fast as possible..
basically, you need to be very patient and work very fast too..
actually it's good for kids to have peferences and make their own choices at young age (reasonably of course)... i read somewhere that it will train them to be at ease to make decision later in their life...
dear zara's mama,
i suspect Matt was upset becoz daddy has been working late for the past 2 days and he display his emotions by being "lao gai" like what egghead said.
everytime i picked him up alone, he will definitely asked "where is daddy?" and whe I said daddy will be late - he seems to be more quiet than usual.
today, hub and me picked the kids up together, he was smiling so vibrantly...(sigh)..the power of daddy...
ohh...the 2 pix are not taken this morning but was put up to visually display the mood...
maybe he had a nightmare lehh...
dear jazzmint,
that's a possibility too...
i'm not surprised that lil Matt has such obvious displays of emotions.
at 10 months old, lil Max reacts very actively to being reprimanded. recently he has taken to slapping away my hubs hands if he is reprimanded by his daddy. he also refuses to be carried by his daddy for days on end after that.
kids these days r very smart, they work on our emotions to their advantage!!!
awww hope his spirits are lifted.
Hope he felt better after the dinner...and swimming? or gymboree in the end?? :))
Kids do have their moody times occasionally and sometimes we just don't undertsand why and letting us have wild guesses only. But does Matt tell u why if he's sad or happy? My Des will tell me why she's sad or happy.
May be poor boy had a bad dream.
Sometimes bb laugh in his sleep also. It's nice to watch.
dear pearlvaoyster,
lil Max really state his point-yah. Matt will only hide in one corner and pretend he is angry until we look for him...
dear mom2ashley and Blurblur,
as per subsequent post, he is one happy boy now...but he might act up again and demand for his gymboree this weekend (lol)
dear tracy,
aiyo, my son become "she ham hau" whenever he is unhappy-leh...so, we need to guess most of the time.
dear allyfeel,
the smiling and laughing in their sleeps...love them!
