1st DAY of Nursery
24th Feb 2006 is a day to remember. the day i accompanied Matt for an unforgettable moment of his 1st DAY of Nursery (actually it's only a day trial run)... a day when both parent and kid find endless possibilities and endless memories to treasure and share.
Matt 1st day of Nursery is a long anticipated occasion that has been postponed a couple of times due to unavoidable inconveniences. anyhow, we made it eventually and it turned out to be a FUN day for little Matt.
i took a day off from work...we were excited and ever ready to experience mummy and son 1st DAY of Nursery. as usual, i'm one eager mom that tried to capture every moment of the day for remembrance and here is a good summary of the eventful day.
Matt...a little curious...
a little peculiar...
i think he blend in well...thrilled with the unfamiliar surroundings...
he even get a little reassurance from the older kid that has put him at ease...
HIGHLIGHT OF THE DAY
it just so happen that one of the kid turned 5 years old that same day and his mother hired a clown for his birthday celebration at the nursery.
MATT 1st DAY OF SCHOOL TURNED iNTO A BiTHDAY BASH

with lots of giggles...laughters...

1st DAY of Nursery is a powerful childhood memories and i'm glad Matt has a good start in the running...
if you ask him "Matt, do you want to go to school?"
he will reply with enthusiasm "yeah, i go to school"...he is definitely ready

We too went to a few kindys before deciding. HY liked all of them!!
Matt looks very nice - dressed up in small grownup clothes. I don't really like kiddy clothes with little bears, ducks, cats, etc. I prefer clothes that are kid sizes of adult clothes! They look cuter!
Your 1st day in nursery so easy hah? wonder how's mine? Wien even now go to sunday school also want papa to accompany her till end class....*sigh*

the nursery is situated at Pantai Hill and it's more like a playschool to get Matt familiarise himself with a school environment. i'm actually sending him to another kindy next year. Matt is 3 years 2 ++ months old now.

you see right thru' me- i'm one proud mama.
i'm anticipating a more challenging task next year with my 2nd son but even if he put up a 'let-loose-hell break' show- i guess i will still be a proud mama.
matt is a loyal sentimental chap..i'm more worried someday someone will break his heart ..* a big bear hug to u*

yeah, i guess the clown has help eased him in to the new environment. subsequent trip- coming next week. given that i'm away and then the school break last week, he is only starting the 2nd term...will broadcast on his development.

i have prepared myself after reading your post on Damien's 1st day of school (which is very insightful) but i'm not so worried about Matt...it's my 2nd boy that i should worried about. i think it will be a completely diff scenario...we will see when time comes...

sending our kid to kindy always spark off sentiments in parents but i guess the kids enjoying it makes our task as parents less daunting. glad to hear that your kid enjoy kindy.
yeah, agree that dressing up the little ones are most if not all parents' newfound interest :)

it's actually near our office. it's not a full day but from 8.30am to noon. i plan to drop him off on the way to work and pick him up during lunch to send back to my babysitter.

i always like the classic coke and i guess changing the ingredients may make it less saleable...besides the high acidity, coke can cause havoc to our health...trust me, i have not told the whole story what it did to me!

It's so cool that the school allows you to go in and snap all the pictures you want. And good pictures, by the way, as always.
Matt seem to enjoy the first day in school. So nice got clown to entertain him on the trail day, hope he don't thnink that uncle clown will be there everyday! :)
It's so good to hear dat Matt could adapt himself in the nursery and u need not worry about him. How I wish Destinee will be able to do dat too cos she's so clingy but I guess I still have to do it one day and leave her on her own.
