here and there

the tummy bits
it has been a busy week.
what's worst, i think i drank a bottle of goats' milk probiotic yoghurt which was left at room temperature slightly longer than it should. a real sensitive tummy. vomited a few times yesterday and still feeling like a jello today. despite the extensive vomiting experience during chemo.. it still doesn't come easy x_X

the cancertreatment bits
anyway, a friend brought me to this Naturopathy Therapy Centre whereby the centre has some kind of connection or liason with hospital in China claiming a revolutionary Cancer Treatment Protocols. they offer what they call targeted cancer therapies i.e. instead of overall body chemo that kills both the bad and good cells, the therapy is to injure and get rid of the tumour only. thus limiting the side effects of normal chemo.

MOM (minutes of meeting) with the doc:
lisa: in April 07, i was diagnosed with bla bla bla..... and it came back again this year bla bla bla... and of course, they want me to go back on chemo.. bla bla bla.. but i'm reluctant and hence, here i am... bla bla bla
doc: *reviewing my PET scan and report* you do know that they can't save you right? they can only extend your life ....
lisa: *smile* i know. i'm perfectly clear on that.. that's also one of the reason why i refused treatment.
doc: when did you find out again? Feb? are you on medication? what have you been doing?
lisa: yes. in fact, it came back earlier but i only found out in Feb. nope. i'm not on any medication. i'm on organic whole food, phythochemical smoothie, qigong.. the holistic stuff..that's it. nothing much really.

*doc looked up at me..smiled and said,
doc: more than 6 months now..and you are still here.. looking that good.. you should just continue doing what you are doing.

ha! so unexpected but i love that response!!! i have 7 witnesses who heard that :P haha.
btw he is a nice doc, kind, considerate, gentle to your soul and i don't said that because he complimented i look good k ? :P i like him because he is not the kind who thinks you should listen to them just becoz they think they know more than you. in fact, he is so interested in what i'm doing to stay alive.

*i need to say this quietly here coz i so wish it's not true : actually i don't feel as good as i look most of the time...... but i'm working on it :) and i do look beaten up alot of the time... like right now. still nausea*

but of course, being attached to the center, he has to offer the recommended therapy to me somehow.

well, to start off. i'm not a very obedient patient. i don't do as told. don't believe me, ask my onco. you can lecture me with all your expertise but i will make my own decision. just because i'm in a situation, i don't jump on every single offer to save my life. i'm not that desperate.

in this case, i'm not convinced. if it's such a breakthrough, why is it not implemented by the medical industry worldwide? i personally don't think by just getting rid of the tumour will help. i'm at advanced stage. my lymph nodes are affected. cancer cells could be anywhere. PET scan can only pick up tumour bigger than 0.5cm. the theraphy maybe able to get rid of the tumour with a clean PET scan. however, what you can't see doesn't mean it's not there. whatever not pick up by scan will grow and come back to haunt you.

if i want chemo, i want it thorough.. flood my whole body with poison. no mercy. leave no trace. but then i was also told, chemo can't get rid of tumour, they can only shrink it temporary. *sigh*.

for the time being, i'm sticking to his first advice..continue doing what i'm doing and hopefully, i can hang on for a long long time..

yup baby, hang on, every day adds to a lot of days.
looking good and not feeling good, i know what you mean. i feel giddy almost everyday. been that way for years. and weak too. perpetual low sugar. we know what's best for ourselves. the docs can only help that much. i am not obedient too, and in most cases it actually help. thank goodness my current gp is a good guy too.

you will build up again, after the yoghurt poisoning. takes a little time. we need a bit more time than others to recuperate, but hey, we still get there, so that's good.

let's be happy for every day. i am very happy you are still here. every little day is not taken for granted. we know what we're dealing with. and we know there are many many countless people who have made it, and may you too be one of them. i love you lisababe. hang on, we take each day at a time. and make each day a good productive day for your health, when we fall on one day, we pick up on the next. we mend with more good days. we are gutsy and you have all the love in the world to get you through.
HUGS and KISSES xxx

Hi, glad to see you again. For quite a while, your blog was "privatised" so I've always thought about you and wondered how you're doing. Not sure if you still remember me but we did exchange a few emails quite some time back... Take care ya!
