FOCUS!

dear all,

after a period of mia previously, i have worried some with my sudden dissapearance and dissapoint some that has diligently dropped by my blog. once again, i need to go for another round of mia but this time i will at least take the courtesy to inform all concerns.

i'm currently very tied down with work. there is a major on-going reorganization in my department and i need a focus mind to manage the changes...i have take on a challenging project and i need a focus mind in the engagement...i was given added responsibilities of a critical function and i need a focus mind to play the responsible role.

tasks on hand requires FULL commitment from me that not only demand my upmost concentration during working hours but also my personal private time at home...despite very little of it after deducting time caring for 2 demanding toddlers.

having said that, mia is inevitable and maybe the duration is even longer than the previous time. there will be no posting during this time but if i have a minute to spare, i will definitely drop by your blog to say 'hi'.

1st DAY of Nursery

24th Feb 2006 is a day to remember. the day i accompanied Matt for an unforgettable moment of his 1st DAY of Nursery (actually it's only a day trial run)... a day when both parent and kid find endless possibilities and endless memories to treasure and share.

Matt 1st day of Nursery is a long anticipated occasion that has been postponed a couple of times due to unavoidable inconveniences. anyhow, we made it eventually and it turned out to be a FUN day for little Matt.

i took a day off from work...we were excited and ever ready to experience mummy and son 1st DAY of Nursery. as usual, i'm one eager mom that tried to capture every moment of the day for remembrance and here is a good summary of the eventful day.

Matt...a little curious...

a little peculiar...

i think he blend in well...thrilled with the unfamiliar surroundings...

he even get a little reassurance from the older kid that has put him at ease...

HIGHLIGHT OF THE DAY
it just so happen that one of the kid turned 5 years old that same day and his mother hired a clown for his birthday celebration at the nursery.

MATT 1st DAY OF SCHOOL TURNED iNTO A BiTHDAY BASH

spOtty the funny clown...

singing...joking...showing off his funny tricks...

the kids were entertained...

with lots of giggles...laughters...

a close-up moment of Matt enjoying spOtty the clown
he is paying attention...he is applauding...

he is listening attentively...he giggles happily...

1st DAY of Nursery is a powerful childhood memories and i'm glad Matt has a good start in the running...

if you ask him "Matt, do you want to go to school?"
he will reply with enthusiasm "yeah, i go to school"...he is definitely ready

Missing mUmmY

i was away for almost a week in Hong Kong. during my absence, my hubby took Matt into his responsibility while Brad was put under the babysitter care. although they shared the same blood and flesh as me and they are good buddy with each other, they have expressed how they missed their mummy in a totally different manner.

the cOOl kid

since Matt get to go home with daddy, he acted pretty cool although my hubby said he misses me in a very subtle and quiet manner. when they get home everyday, Matt will asked "where is mummy?" and when daddy said "mummy is working", he will simply replied "ok" and asked no further. despite getting the same answer, he has not deter from asking the same Q everyday upon reaching home.

Matt is still sleeping in btw us on our bed. (we don't have the heart for him to think that we have love him less with the arrival of his little bro and hence, decided we will move 'THEM' out together when time comes.) since daddy and Matt have the whole bed to themselves, daddy asked lil Matt to move over to mummy side so that daddy have more room but lil Matt insisted, "noooo, that's mummy space..mummy sleeps here"-end of conversation, not open for negotiation.

when i came home, i asked for a little hug and kiss and he did just that...when i asked "did you miss mummy?" he replied with a simple "yes, i miss mummy."

he didn't say much...he didn't react much...but we know he misses me in his own way.

here cOmes trOuble...

Brad is a mummy boy. i left him with the babysitter for a few days and for him, that's BIG deal!!!! . my babysitter said he emote without restraints..he threw tantrum..refusal to co-operate..screaming and crying without apparent reasons.

when i picked him up from the babysitter, he was his usual self and acted as if nothing has happened...not until we got home. he was really upset...he cried over little little things...he rebelled and wittingly go against everything we asked of him...he was not taking no for an answer and he even demanded to be carried the whole night.

he was upset and he made his statement loud and clear ... he retorted emotionally and physically...there is no doubt that he misses me and he ensures that we get the message.

(thank goodness he is back to himself the next day)

my kIdS...

as for mummy, misses both of them dearly...every minute..every second...
