SAYANG

after feeding the kiddies with doses of fun-time over the weekend...Matt is once again a HAPPY BOY...

while driving home after picking up the kiddies from babysitter yesterday...Matt said,

"we go home, daddy 'sayang' JiaWei (Matt's chinese name) -hor?"

mummy said "mummy no 'sayang'-meh??

Matt replied,

okay..
daddy 'sayang' Jiawei..
mummy 'sayang' Jiawei also..
ti-ti 'sayang' Jiawei also..

at that moment, i can't wait to get home asap to 'sayang' that little fella...

over the Weekend...

Friday evening
yes, we picked the kids up early and went for dinner at Centre Point...kids had a "messy" fun time ...
(no pix, decided not to bring my camera along)

Saturday
yes, we went swimming in the morning...kids had a "jolly wet" fun-time...
(no pix taken. daddy & mummy on 1:1 child proof basis for maximum safety reason)

only managed to take a snap of the kiddies' wet towels hanging to dry subsequently...

the towels look super cute on them..

and i let them put on their swimming gears to take photos too...

Sunday
yes, i gave in....we went to kidz sport & gym at Bangsar and the kids had a "super adrenalin pumping" fun-time...

it's a weekend full of kiddies' booster and i'm having a kiddies' hangover now...

Blues...

Matt woke up this morning feeling very blues...he is not crying or whining... but teary eyes and not telling us why.

mummy said "it's Friday and tomorrow we go swimming-okay?"
Matt replied "no, we go gymboree"
mummy ..... *speechless* (mummy not keen coz gymboree over the weekend is just too crowded)

i decided to lay low today...fully concentrate on work...so that i can leave office on the dot...and pick the kids up early for dinner tonight...

hopefully he's in a better mood this evening...

welcome to the CLUB!!

the concentration...the obsession.. the mesmerism...
what's the attraction???

a little tip will help...

yep, the contagion has spread!!

not long ago, i'm musing about lil Matt addiction to PS and now we have probably a new lifetime membership to the club.

for Brad, he enjoy pressing the pause button just to rub his brother the wrong way. he will press pause and then grin at his bro. Matt will be pissed and tell him off... and this will go on and on...until it eventually set-off a pickup scrimmage.

Matt will either whack his lil bro in the head with the controller or push him to the ground. naturally lil Brad will start wailing and crying ...

daddy or mummy will intervene...teetering between scolding Matt for pushing his bro or scolding Brad for being such a BIG bully...usually things will settle quickly and the playing will resume in no time... before the next anticipated cycle begin...

maybe it's wiser to just shrug off the commotion and acknowledge the fact that a little roughplay will do no harm to the kiddies.

A mister Paddy's story

inspired by big boy albie affinity to cindy moo and little Zara fondness of Boo & Nam, i have a story to tell about mister Paddy too.

mister Paddy migrated from London to join our humble family. though we never mistreated him, mister Paddy sits quietly up on a shelf not getting the attention that he deserve...especially that he has traveled long and far.

so, i invited mister Paddy to have a little playtime with the 2 little fellas. unfortunately, the 2 little fellas went on nonchalantly with their activities...totally ignoring mister Paddy... until mummy said, "hey boys, mister Paddy here wants to play and to be sayang (loved) too"

hearing the words "sayang", lil Matt instantaneously picked up mister Paddy for a peck on the lips. being the younger brother that copycats almost everything that the big brother do or say, lil Brad wants a piece of mister Paddy too and he ensured that mister Paddy gets more than just a kiss...

mister Paddy received a big SUCK and a WET NOSE from lil Brad.

moral of the story....i really need to stop breastfeeding....

well, that's a colourful illustration of my quandary. lil Brad is already 21 months old and thinking of a rational mind would say it's time to stop breastfeeding but can one stay rational when their children go for a full-fledge tantrum, the lil Oscar's award winning style when refuse something they so attached to?

would you heartlessly stand firm, unwavering to your child pitiful weeping?

Labour of our LOVE

the simplicity of love....is to love and be loved

to be able to have a quiet moment together....

to be able to ask freely...

to be able to give selflessly...

to be able to continue to love each other unconditionally...

a special VALENTINE dedication to the 3 men of my life

to my beloved hubby...

to my beloved little Matt...

to my beloved little Brad...

and a HAPPY VALENTINE's day to everyone too.

Chinese New Year quickies...

this is so anti-climax. my X'mas posting was put up way after the actual celebration and now, my CNY posting was delayed till the whole 15 days were over. no, it's not on purpose. the previous postponement were due to technical issue and as for the past 2 weeks...there were just too much heat, too much food, too much pile-up workloads.....and more seriously, lost for words and inspiration.

however, it's critical for me to post the CNY celebration. otherwise, i can't move forward...my own mental block. so, instead of an elaborate illustration of events...i strip it down to the bare essentials.

Weatherwise
steamy, sticky hot.. hoT.. hOT.. HOT days. the temperature are ferocious. the searing heat and sun soaked climate are so energy sapping....despite all that, we still paused for pleasure...taking in the sunny side of life.

On the go
the whole festive celebration was a giddy blend of running here...running there...running to...running from ...logistic wise.

and also running "AFTER"...kiddies wise.

the cherished moment

for one reason or another, my family have not get-together for a meal in the past 2-3 years... i mean a complete 3 generation family members. this year, we managed to sit 2 tables full.. to feast, to toast and re-kindle our family devotion.
for me, this CNY represents more of a spiritual renewal than a physical one and a definite reaffirmation of family ties. the happiness in my dad's eyes shine thru' that night and he is already planning for the next dinner...with a new addition to the family :)

the lost opportunity

i didn't get to meet up with my best friend. her kids fell ill and we have to postponed our get together. somehow, i have a good feelin' that we have plenty of opportunities this year..bow, wow!!

summing up

our CNY celebration was blandly predictable, boringly repetitive and overwhelmingly overrated but our soul and heart still quietly wish to draw in all that life brings to greet us the same each year.

<**clapping hands, jumping up & down- i finally did it!!!**>
